Costs and Fees

IXO charges the individual and groups the cost of the specific project itself. IXO seeks to mobilize as many people as possible to serve in Chinese universities by providing the vehicle and format for their participation without adding organizational overhead.

IXO solicits support from individuals, nonprofit organizations and grants from foundations who share a similar burden for China in order to free participants from being charged overhead expenses. We also ask all groups who participate in our program to champion IXO before their organizations for monthly and/or one-time support.

Airfare generally ranges between $1,000-$2,100 per person depending on the carrier, date and point of origination. Travel to other destination in the Far East, in-country Chinese travel and /or origination flights other than major U.S. cities adds considerably to the total transportation costs to the individual participant.

Average trips, including airfare and daily costs, range in cost from $2,600-$3,200 per person, depending on travel in-country, the size of the group, touring and accommodation arrangements.

IXO arranges all flights and daily living expenses while in China. Participants are responsible only for souvenirs, drinks, snacks, and extra touring options not included in the package.
